If Only There Were a Way to Fast Forward the Speeches, Too…

May 20, 2013

Since 2008, when renovations began on Washington Square Park, NYU’s All-University Commencement has been held in Yankee Stadium.

Ever wonder how we change one of the world’s truly legendary sports stadiums into a space that appropriately honors our graduates and welcomes their proud families and loved ones?

In 2011, we created a birds-eye, time-lapse video of the transformation to show you how the home of the NYY becomes NYU’s home for a day.

The process for readying Yankee Stadium for the Class of 2013 gets underway early Tuesday morning. Congratulations to all our 2013 graduates. We’re very proud of you. See you on Wednesday.
